Believe It or Not - Summer is Here and so are the Summer Flowers!

Summer Begins on 1st May

I am writing this, looking up through a roof light, watching and hearing the rain fall down heavily.  But do not be fooled, summer is here - well, in my world it is anyway!

Our spring products have now left the website and we have swiftly move into the delights of summer flowers.  For all fans of the beautiful peony, it’s good news for you!

The five products that you will see returning to our website are shown below and you can click on their names to order them.

Interestingly, different people have different perceptions of what colour summer flowers are and it seems to be divided 50:50.  Half of us think of the pastel shades shown in the Skye bouquet with flowers such as stocks, scabious, pastel peonies, phlox and antirrhinum (snapdragons) included whereas the others think more of the sunflowers, bright peonies and tanacetum used in Coral.

Summertime Means It’s … Wedding Time!

​​​​​​Of course, with the hope of good weather in store for us, the wedding season is upon us.  We love a wedding, so do feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss your plans with us.  The main flowers that you need to think about are:

• Bridal bouquet

• Bridesmaids’ bouquets

• Buttonholes

  • For the groom, best man, ushers or groomsmen, and parents

• Flowers to decorate the venue for the ceremony

  • Pedestals arrangements and flowers for the pew ends or chairs running down the aisle

• Table centres for the reception

• Fresh flowers for the cake

• Hand tied bouquets as thank you gifts

• Other installations, such as archways of flowers around church doorways, flower arrangements for windowsills etc.
